Find Your Place: "How the Power of Thoughts Can Help You Become the Best?"

There are many aphorisms used today that not only embrace a man’s being as a whole, but is so comprehensive as to reach out to every condition and circumstance of his life.” The most popular aphorism is found in proverbs: “As a man thinks in his heart so is he,” which encompasses the total being of a person. What would you do if you could think something and it becomes "that something"? History is full of stories of people that learned, believed and lived with the knowing that “Things are Thoughts.” Let's take a look at Henry Ford; in his time, cars were for the rich only. He thought of the everyday worker, their needs, and what it would mean for the advancement of all. From this thinking came the “Model T,” and today we have hundreds of cars to choose from. This was made possible as a result of one man’s thoughts and beliefs.

"Things are thoughts", is a powerful tool. I began to embrace this knowledge because of the adversity I faced as a young professional. I realized, if I were to change my thoughts, my perspective, and my focus, then maybe I could change my life. I thought, why not try something different? What do I have to lose? I wanted to know more about “as a man thinks, so is he.” I wanted to explore this idea and so my journey began. I didn’t have to travel far. What I needed was near. I began to read, study and embrace the ideas of others. I checked-out books from the local library and purchased others. I was receptive and I yearned for more knowledge, more wisdom and most of all, I wanted to get to know me. I asked the question, “If one person can become successful, then why can’t I?” I gained insight. I became enlighten and I knew that I possessed “that something.” That something that was within me. I had an awakening, and I discovered that being successful was within my reach; within me, and the only thing I needed to do was to change my “mind” and I would be on the path to changing my life. Napoleon Hill said it well, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” I took the challenge and my life is amazing. I’m experiencing blessing and living an abundant life.

Another great thinker was Patricia Bath; who believed and conceived that everyone has the “Right to Sight” which led to her invention in 1985 of a specialized tool and procedure for the removal of cataracts. And, then there is Steve Jobs, the man who conceived the idea of the smartphone, touch screens, and a tablet computer. Without his thoughts, his insight and belief that a cell phone could be used for far greater things, we would not have the iPhones and various Apple products.

What are your dreams? Do you believe in your dreams? Do you imagine your dreams? If your answer to any of these questions is no or incomplete, then it’s time to rethink how you “think.” The power of thought is real. For that reason, will you take the challenge and “fix your thoughts on what is true, pure…and excellent.” Many great thinkers knew the “secret” and used the power of thought to create, invent, discover and to explore the unlimited possibilities that were available to them hundreds of years ago; and we can begin today to use this same power to create the life we desire and to live a prosperous, fulfilling and joy-filled life. Are you ready to change your life? Then, take the challenge and change your thinking!

“Both poverty and riches are the offspring of thought.” - Napoleon Hill
